This cruise takes place aboard MS Tromsø, Northern Norways proud explorer vessel from 1956.
The boat offers grand adventures and...
polar tales, and is the city’s only vessel with its own restaurant, bar, and kitchen. History lives in the walls — from past expeditions and the ship’s own international TV series, where extreme sports athletes seek out mountains and wilderness. Along the way, we share stories of polar exploration and many of the secrets of our Arctic capital. You're also welcome up in the wheelhouse for a good chat and learn a little polar navigation.We are also developing kelp-based biofuel that removes CO₂ — made from leftover raw materials after the production of a healthy energy drinks! During the trip, it's not uncommon to see small whales, seals, eagles, and reindeer. You're warmly welcome both before and after the cruise for a drink or snack on our observation deck to have more of the northern lights or midnight sun. The boat carries 70 passengers and has 24 beds for longer journeys and overnight stays. Join us where people come to socialize and happy informally explore away from the main tourist streams. Join our arctic explorer vessel on a summer cruise 1 PM - 4 PM (welcome aboard 12 noon and feel free to stay longer after cruise) around Tromsø where we tell stories from present and historic Tromsø with the polar expeditions, and you can watch the animal wildlife while we sail.The cruise takes you to the inner part of Balsfjorden with famous Lyngsalpene as backdrop. The only boat in Tromsø with a full kitchen where we prepare all food from the bottom and serve local arctic dishes. We are a full style boat and the way you should experience Tromsø. Worth to know: We don’t buy any frozen filets, but only whole food where we can inspect and control that its fresh before serving.
